Alright ponderers, here's my question. Why do we have fingernails? To protect that soft skin underneath? but without them, that skin wouldn't need protecting..
Kendall and I talk about this a lot. Well more than we talk about mushrooms at least. We're not quite sure if they're there because the skin needs protecting or if our skin needs protecting because they're there. Maybe we just need fingernails so we can scratch when we itch. Or maybe they're weapons!
